Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si Robertson talks about the Veterans Day duck hunt. In his own words, it was the best that a hunt could be for anyone who hunts ducks. It seems like everything went absolutely perfectly.

Uncle Si and Duck Dynasty posted a ten-minute video to their Duck Commander Youtube channel. Throughout the video, they show some incredible action shots and an interview.

Duck Dynasty’s Uncle Si sits down in front of the camera to talk about how successful their hunt was. So, he was joined by six other Veterans on a special day to hunt ducks in Louisiana.

Uncle Si Talks About Duck Hunting With Veterans

Uncle Si served in the military for a long time, retiring in 1993 as a Sergeant First Class. He fought in Vietnam, so duck hunts with other Veterans are dear to his heart. After leaving the military, he joined up with his brother, Phil Robertson, to help make Duck Commander take off. He has been helping make the super popular duck callers that the company sells.

During the interview, Uncle Si talks about how meaningful it is to be able to hunt with fellow Veterans. It is safe to say that their hunt is one he won’t forget anytime soon.

“Anytime you get veterans together, there’s a bond that forms there that’s actually stronger than blood.”

Louisiana gave Veterans a cool perk. The state said that on Veterans Day only, those who have served are allowed to go out duck hunting. So, Uncle Si took full advantage of the day.

They loaded up in some pretty big duck blinds in front of a big pond. The boys put on their camouflage and face paint and put their duck calls to work. Uncle Si also explains how getting the virus took him out of duck hunting season for thirty days. So, he was anxious to get out into the woods to hunt.

After a hearty breakfast, the Vets got out into the blinds and let their bullets fly. The guys seemingly couldn’t miss any of the birds flying in.
