NSSF SHOT Show 2021 Begins Today: All You Need to Know, How to Watch the Digital Event

The National Shooting Sports Foundation SHOT Show kicks off one of its virtual elements today. SHOT University offers 8-sessions over the next couple of days, offering lessons on current topics and featuring keynote speakers.

The NSSF worked to move the show from its usual convention to an online event. The NSSF Shot show is offering many different digital features this year. For an overview of the virtual event, click here.

NSSF Starts SHOT University for 2021 SHOT Show

The first class offered by SHOT University is Inventory Management Insights for busy and slow times. This seminar is teaching different practices of managing inventory during ever-changing seasons. Additionally, in this session, the speaker will provide tactics for business owners to maximize profits, minimize risk, and, most importantly, keep customers happy.

The next SHOT University session is covering the updated Form 4473 that was released in July 2020. There are significant changes to several sections of the form. The NSSF’s Compliance Consultant Team Members are answering questions about these changes. Additionally, the team details several resources that can help business owners and their customers complete the form consistently and correctly.

Day Two of SHOT Show University

There has been an influx of new shooters this year. This lesson is geared at getting them on the right path. Setting Your Range up for Success with First Time Shooters will discuss how ranges are developing their staff, curriculums, equipment, and services specifically for these first-time gun owners. Additionally, upping the entertainment value to benefit both new and long-term clients will be covered.

Next up is Understanding the Firearms Industry Insurance Landscape & Solutions. This seminar will cover insurance policies, and outlining various policy types. The speaker is discussing the critical questions retailers should be having with insurance providers, especially creating coverage that works when it’s needed the most.

Wrapping Up SHOT University

A record amount of online shopping is happening via social media. The Social Media Masterclass as a Team will cover what it takes to effectively engage customers. It will also cover targeting new clients. Additionally, this course will help business owners set up a game plan for their social media employees. Furthermore, this masterclass takes a deep dive into content creation, posting management best practices, and tactics that will help improve specific brand recognition. What’s more, the lesson plan also includes covering current and emerging trends.

In Consumer Financing: A Buy Now, Pay Later Buying Option in High Demand instructors will be going over how the buy-now-pay-later financing option works. This session examines current consumer behaviors and market trends. What’s more, the topic will also reveal why retailers should be offering the fastest-growing payment option to boost profits and improve cash flow.

Rounding out the three days of seminars are two pre-recorded sessions from keynote speakers.

Michael Veltri is heading up Decision-Making Mastery: How To Deliver Stunning Bottom-line Results. He is sharing his experience on what delivers results in the industry. What’s more, Veltri’s tools can be used immediately to increase productivity and deliver results.

Phillip Smith of the National African American Gun Owners Association is covering Firearms Ownership & Expansion in a growing American Demographic. He’s putting a fine point on the extraordinary year 2020 was for firearm retailers.
