Must-Visit RV Resort Features Wine Tastings and Stone-Fire Pizza

Cava Robles is not your ordinary RV camping site.

The resort sits in the California wine region known as Paso Robles. Nestled between mountains and the Pacific Ocean, this Central Coast destination is the perfect place for RV camping.

Paso Robles contains olive orchards, almond orchards, hot springs, more than 170 wineries and 26,000 acres of vineyards. The area has an ideal climate for wine-making.

Cava Robles offers a range of amenities. Visitors can enjoy wine tasting tours, dog parks, fire pits, golfing, hiking, shopping and a wellness center. The resort even boasts hot springs nearby, Travel + Leisure reports.

RV campers have the option of parking at Cava Robles either short-term or long-term. Its sites feature patios, picnic tables, full hookups and Tuscan landscaping.

For those without RVs, Cava Robles has cabins. Those include the Studio Chalet, built for two, or the Chateau, which holds four. There is even a Tuscany Villa, built for two, which has its own rooftop deck looking out onto the vineyards.

The resort is its own little village. It hosts a market, a farmhouse bistro serving stone-fire pizzas, meditation and yoga rooms, a swimming pool, a putting green and a spa.

Cava Robles is open in spite of COVID-19. However, the pandemic has affected the availability of some amenities at the resort.

Cava Robles reopened on June 12 after closing in compliance with the California Department of Public Health guidelines. Still closed are the clubhouse, fitness center, playground, outdoor pavilion, hot tubs, fire rings and communal kitchens and barbecue areas.
