The world’s first 16-foot truck bed is here, courtesy of this Ram superfan’s custom 4500. Measuring in at twice the maximum length the factory offers – this truck has to be seen to be believed.
Typically, when something seems too good to be true, it is. This time, however, your eyes do not deceive you – nor does the title of this article. According to The Drive, this incredible Ram pickup has a whopping 205-inch wheelbase. That’s longer than most of the vehicles that Dodge makes. It;s powered by a 6.7-liter diesel engine – and yes – is a fully functional truck.
Who would create such a beautiful beast? The truck’s elongated bed is seamless and looks factory-built, so whoever is responsible must be beyond a “super fan”, right? Right. The monster Ram comes courtesy of the gentleman who owns the world’s largest collection of 4×4 vehicles – holding several records in the Guinness Book of World Records. His name is Sheikh Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan of Sharjah, and he’s from the UAE. He’s putting his collection to great use, too, as it comprises his massive Sharjah Off Road History Museum, with most of his wild inventions on display for the public.
When You Have a 16-Foot Truck Bed, You Turn it into a 16-Foot Redneck Hot Tub.
2020 is silently becoming the year of super-fan super-trucks.
Furthering proof that all truck fanatics dream alike, the prestigious Sheikh also uses his enormous truck bed for a redneck hot tub every chance he gets. For those unaware, a redneck hot tub typically consists of a waterproof tarp/plastic placed into the bed of a truck before filling it with water. A hose or piping is then used to heat said “hot tub” with the exhaust from the muffler. Living in the desert, however, seems to bless the Sheikh with enough heat to (wisely) lay off that last ingredient for said red neck goodness:
