WATCH: Florida Woman Thinks She Spotted ‘Baby Dinosaur’ Running Through Backyard

Only in Florida – or Loch Ness? This Florida woman’s home security footage clearly shows a dinosaur-esque creature dashing through her backyard. But that’s impossible, right? So what in the world is this?

Right off the bat, it’s important to note that the footage has reportedly not been doctored in any way. This is straight-up Florida, y’all.

And on that note, Florida woman Christina Ryan now has the most perplexing bit of security footage her backyard camera has ever recorded. Sent in to her local FOX 35 over the weekend, the Palm Coast resident says there’s no question about it: Florida has a dinosaur on the loose.

“Any animal we can come up with that would be ‘walking’ at 3:40 in the morning, wouldn’t walk this way,” she tells FOX 35 News.

Still in disbelief, Ryan has shown the clip to multiple friends and locals. And the thought is near-universal: this absolutely looks like a baby dinosaur.

“Maybe I’ve watched ‘Jurassic Park’ too many times, but I see a raptor or other small dinosaur,” she adds.

Dinosaur? Giant Bird? World’s Strangest Dog? What is in this Florida Footage?

Other neighbors, however, say it may be a large bird. Birds are, after all, our modern descendants of dinosaurs. To Ryan, however, “that makes no sense – since whatever it is appears to have front legs. So not sure? Lol. I’m sticking with raptor myself,” she replies tongue-in-cheek.

Surely a large bird makes “more sense” than a dinosaur… So what in the world are we looking at here? Since the clip hit the internet, worldwide viewers have been hard at work examining the footage. The most plausible answer?

“That is a dog wearing a harness dragging a leash. You can see all four legs and the harness and leash dragging behind it,” FOX 35 reports of the most sensical reaction.

“Looks like a Komodo dragon or some type of lizard!” another examiner says. Some are even saying the sighting could be connected to recent Florida UFO sightings… But let’s tackle our dinosaurs and aliens one at a time, shall we?

Check out the perplexing footage below, and decide for yourself:

For this wildlife technician’s part – that’s definitely a dinosaur.

All joking aside, whatever is present in this Florida footage strongly resembles a bipedal theropod. The ancestors of modern birds, the vast majority of theropods walked on two legs designed nearly identical to that of modern land birds. Many common game birds, like chickens, are even direct descendants of this dinosaur family – which includes some of the most famous thunder lizards of all: the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Velociraptors, Allosaurus, and many more.

At the beginning of the footage, however, it does appear that whatever is running begins so on four legs. It does, too, look to be wearing a reflective harness and dragging a leash. As cute as a baby T-Rex would be in a vest, I’m with the “loose dog on a leash” camp with this one.
