Two hunters were in for a hairy and scary situation when a black bear paid them a visit in their tree stand.

A large black bear cub was captured on video venturing into the tree stand of two bow hunters.

The unforgettable experience reportedly took place last May while two brothers were in a tree stand in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The two just so happened to be hunting bears when the incident occurred.

In the video, you can see two pretty large cubs run quickly up the tree.

One of the cubs goes right past them, but the other decides he wants to hang out for a minute.

An Encounter Between Two Pairs of Brothers

Wes Marchak told For The Win Outdoors he and his brother were hunting bears from the stand as they watched one bear cub chase another up the tree they were in. However, one became curious about camo-clad men.

Both of the young men’s faces are filled with astonishment and terror. The brother positioned lower in the tree is filming while staring at the camera wide-eyed and silent.

The bear leans toward the brother positioned higher in the tree, reaching mere inches from his face. The hunter pulls away from the bear’s snout.

The other brother stares at his camera letting out a peep of nervous laughter. The cub begins shimmying down the tree just to stop again when reaching the one who’s capturing the unbelievable moment.

The one-minute video shows Marchak release a small laugh when the bear is on the other side of the tree facing his brother. He isn’t laughing when the bear stops beside him.

According to Marchak, the cubs were without a momma bear. At about four years old, they were able to take care of themselves.

The curious cub makes his way back to the ground after a few moments. Yet, those moments surely felt much longer for the brothers.

The cubs weren’t harmed.
