NCIS: Hawai’i’s Series Order

Can’t get enough of Hawai’i? NCIS: Hawai’i just got a series order. Lead star Vanessa Lachey spoke about the honor to work in such a beautiful place.

“Mahalo to YOU,” Lachey tweeted. “Feeling so grateful! Thank You for making us #1 three weeks in a row at 10 PM and for watching it again all week! I Love You guys and can’t wait to take you on the rest of the @NCISHawaiiCBS journey this season.”

So what is the show all about? For starters, the show’s creators wanted to pay tribute to the culture of Hawai’i. They wanted to make this show as realistic and to honor the island as much as possible. This also marks the first NCIS series to have a female lead with Jane Tennant (Lachey).

The series’ writer Tree Adams spoke to Show Snob about the characters of the show.

“She has a tough side to her, she’s a badass,” Adams. “Which is kind of fun in some of these action sequences, like the first episode when she jumps off a cliff.”

“There are all these heroic things she’s capable of,” she continued. “But she’s also a single mom, and when you see her at home, there is a warmer side, so we had some warmer and charming themes for her that bring you in.”

Ernie is the team’s tech savant who has his own unique flavor. The team describes him as extremely bright and quirky. As for romance? The storyline is coming. Tennant and Milius will be having something.

“They’re sort of rivals at first, but I don’t know where that is going to go. It’s fun to tease those out,” she concluded.
