According to local authorities, a dead body was pulled out of the Yellowstone River in Montana on Thursday morning.
Mike Linder is the local sheriff in Yellowstone County. He said that someone spotted a dead body floating on the top of the Yellowstone River on Thursday morning. It happened right next to where construction workers were putting in work on a bridge near Billings’ Dover Park.
As it currently stands, local authorities have tentatively identified the deceased man. With that said, however, they will not be releasing his name until family members can be notified. An autopsy is in the works to officially confirm the identity.
“We do have a possible ID on the subject but an autopsy will be conducted in the next day or two to confirm the identity,” Sheriff Linder said in a press release obtained by the Associated Press. “Family members will be notified before this office releases a name.”
The Yellowstone County sheriff also explained that as of right now, it does not appear that there was any foul play involved with the man’s death. To be sure, though, they will refer back to the autopsy results whenever those become available.
“Initial observations show no obvious signs of foul play, but the medical examiner will determine the cause of death,” the press release stated. “It does not appear the body had been in the water for very long.”

‘Yellowstone’ Season 4 Right Around the Corner
Obviously, the body of the man discovered in southcentral Montana on Thursday is tragic news. But on a brighter note, fans who are invested in the Yellowstone region because of the popular television show have room to be optimistic.
That’s right, folks. Season 4 of the Paramount Network hit show, Yellowstone, will be here before we all know it. We found out last month that the premiere date for the season opener will be on Sunday, November 7, on Paramount Plus.
It seems like we have been waiting forever at this point for more of the edge-of-your-seat action that Yellowstone provides. Fans are more anxious than ever for the fourth season. Especially seeing as how season three of the fan-favorite show came to a close back in the summer of 2020. Not only that, but the season three finale ended on a gigantic cliffhanger as the Dutton family found themselves the target of a group of assassins.
We can’t for Yellowstone to officially pick back up where they left off. If you need any more Yellowstone content to take up your time until then, keep reading right here on Outsider.
