While some may have thought Aaron Rodgers had given up on haircuts and shaving, his new look has a reason behind it: Halloween. The Green Bay Packers quarterback has been an avid fan of the spooky holiday. Fans have been treated to his costumes more than once on social media.
Back in 2019 the NFL MVP dressed as Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite and usually has something up his sleeve when it comes to the end of October. Now, with his hair grown out, a process that took a year, he is ready for his next costume. However, he is not going to reveal it ahead of time.
While on The Pat McAfee Show the 37-year-old explained his decision to grow out his hair.
“I have a month until Halloween and this has been a year in the making for my costume. I’m not going to give it away, but it’s somebody who is a hero of mine who has longish hair,” Rodgers said.
Now, there are all kinds of possibilities. Aaron Rodgers could be dressing up as a movie character, a superhero, a real-life person, maybe an older football player, there is no telling. Fans are going to have to wait and see exactly who he decides to dress up as.
Aaron Rodgers Could Dress as CM Punk for Halloween
One of the newest trends in sports social media has been comparing CM Punk to Aaron Rodgers. However, the Chicago wrestler has not been appreciative. A dyed in the wool Chicago-native, Punk has not been takin goto kindly to the comparisons to the Green Bay QB.
For Chicago and Chicago Bears fans, in particular, Rogers is enemy number one. He is Darth Vader. Not to be trusted and definitely not to be liked. So, it isn’t strange that Punk has been a little annoyed with the pics online. However…they do look alike. Honestly, they could be cousins.
Now, how funny would it be if Aaron Rodgers dressed up as the straight edge pro wrestler? While I don’t think it is very likely, it would be a great troll move. Whoever Rodgers plans to dress up as it should be a great costume. He isn’t going to grow his hair out for a year and mail it in on the rest of the costume. As for Punk, the comparisons are likely to keep coming. Social media can be relentless.
