The NFL has been full of style for years. However, after Joe Burrow threw for 525 along with 4 TDs, he kept things festive and simple.

I’ll be honest, I love when a player has a big game and comes out wearing sunglasses, maybe a designer jacket, and they exude swagger. However, the Bengals QB might have taken that to another level with his outfit today.

Joe Burrow had one of the best games of the Super Bowl era today against the Baltimore Ravens. 37/46 through the air, 525 yards, 4 scores, and a couple of runs that mattered. He spread the ball around to seven receivers in the process. Three of them scored. When he strolled into the postgame press conference Burrow had all the swagger despite wearing a Santa hat and a Spongebob sweater.

Check out the tweet below and see for yourself:

Wearing his “The Krusty Krab,” sweater, Burrow answered questions following the best game of his career. One of those, was of course, related to the Nickelodeon cartoon. In response to that question, this is what he had to say.

“It’s a great show. It’s all I got,” Joe Burrow said about Spongebob Squarepants.

Reactions to Burrow’s Outfit

As soon as those screenshots and pictures made it to Twitter, fans started to react. Honestly, it is hard not to like the 25-year-old QB.

One NFL fan reacted to the picture of Joe Burrow saying, “Damn I don’t hate the Bengals now WTF.”

Among the reactions was a sad Ohio State and Cleveland Browns fan who is left wondering what could have been. “Dreaming of a world [in] which he stayed at Ohio State and ended up with the Browns,” @DJ_freese said.

However, my favorite reaction was from @mhc_76 who said, “the reason Burrow is so good is that he is a huge Spongebob guy.” We love to see it, to be honest.

Joe Burrow and His Path to Greatness

Now, Burrow remains a very interesting player. Clearly, we haven’t seen him put together a game like this until today. Despite having some doubters this season, he has persevered. It makes sense. He started his career at Ohio State in college. Then, transferred to LSU to try and find playing time.

Of course, football fans know what happened next. Burrow had an insane season that culminated in LSU and former coach Ed Orgeron winning the national title. Then, he went on to be the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Now, he’s in year two and starting to find his groove out on the field.

Joe Burrow remains one of the best young players in the league. He now has the fourth-most passing yards ever by an NFL QB in a single game. The team is 9-6. His passer rating was 143.2 and he was just about as flawless as one can be, including his postgame fit.
