It is the last week of the regular season in the NFL. Bills receiver Stefon Diggs decided to decorate his cleats and pay homage to the late Betty White.

There is really no measuring the impact that White had on the world of entertainment and on the millions of lives that she reached with her talent. When Pro Bowl receivers are wearing game day cleats with White’s image… you know that she was a bigger-than-life star.

Diggs is one of the most talented offensive players in the NFL. While his Bills end the season with the New York Jets today, he is honoring the late great actress and comedian. On one side of the cleats, “Thank you for being a friend.” The classic line from the Golden Girls theme song.

Then, on the other side, a picture of Betty White smiling and holding up the “I love you,” hand sign. Honestly, one of the most well-done custom cleats that I can think of in recent times. Even the NFL had to take time to highlight Stefon Diggs’ new shoes. Check it out below.

While the cleats are great, and Stefon Diggs is known for his foot fashion, they might not be what he wears in the game. Usually, the receiver shows off his customs and warms up in them for a bit. But, by the time the ball is kicked off, he will slip into his usual pair. Something that matches the team colors or the uniform in general.

Just a quick glimpse early on in the game, and it appears that he is not actually wearing the Betty White customs in the game. But, the sentiment is great nonetheless.

Stefon Diggs Honors Betty White, Looks To Rack Up Yards Against Weak NY Jets

When White’s death was announced on New Year’s Eve, Diggs along with millions of others mourned the loss. The back-to-back Pro Bowler tweeted out a quick RIP message. Now, he has upped the game with the custom shoes. A lot of times these shoes end up being auctioned off or some kind of charitable action done with them.

However, at the moment, Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills are focused on winning their game. While they have clinched a playoff berth, they have something to play for. Depending on how the rest of the games shake out, it could change their seeding from 3-6. That matters when you talk home-field advantage.

The Jets are limping to the finish. They are just 4-12 heading into the last week of the season. They will be looking forward to the offseason and then the draft. If Week 10 showed us anything, it’s that this Bills team knows how to tackle the Jets defense. If Stefon Diggs repeats his last performance he could have close to 200 yards receiving. He had 162 in that first matchup.
