Though they are now proud parents to a beautiful baby girl, Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews are not yet ready to share photos of their child with the public.
The engaged couple welcomed Sterling Skye Mahomes into the world last Saturday. Sterling made her debut weighing in at six pounds and 11 ounces. Matthews took to social media after giving birth to announce to the world that their daughter is now here. She also shows off her new diamond necklace that bears the child’s name in cursive lettering. The photo offers just a small glimpse of baby Sterling tiny left arm as her mother holds her with great joy. Patrick Mahomes also shares the photo on his social media.
The Instagram baby announcement post took in nearly a half-million likes after going live along with thousands of comments.
Patrick Mahomes and Fiancée Will Eventually Share Photos
With arguably the biggest star in the NFL as a father, the world waits with excitement to get a glimpse of Baby Sterling. However, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his fiance plan on waiting a bit before releasing photos to the public. In another social media post on Wednesday, they explain why they made the decision to hold off on letting pictures out. Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews also says they will eventually share photos of their baby at the appropriate time.
“Today was Sterlings actual due date, sure glad she came a few days early,” Matthews says in the Instagram story post. “We will share photos of her when we feel the time is right. I know the Internet will instantly take the photos of her and share everywhere so just preparing myself for my newborn baby girl to be shared to the world. Right now we are just soaking in every minute with her.”
Last offseason, Patrick Mahomes became the National Football League’s highest paid player. His contract is worth up to north of $500 million and includes a large sum of financial guarantees.
We last saw the quarterback and his team lose to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV earlier this month. With a new baby and bad taste from a Super Bowl loss, Mahomes is sure to have plenty of motivation for the 2021 season.
