On Monday afternoon, NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace tweeted out a hilarious reaction to a post from McDonald’s about a new menu option.
McDonald’s, one of the sponsors of NBA legend Michael Jordan’s new No. 23 race team, announced their newest menu item. Their Twitter account wrote, “welp secret is out – new chicken sandwiches arriving 2.24.”
In addition, the fast-food chain also posted a photo of the new chicken sandwich. It looks pretty simple, with just a piece of fried chicken and pickles on a bun. It seems that McDonald’s is joining in on the chicken sandwich wars like other chains including Chick-fil-A and Popeyes.
Wallace made sure to comment on the big announcement and looks ready to get his hands on the new chicken sandwich. He replied by adding an amusing photo from Sunday’s Daytona 500 race. The picture looks like Wallace is thanking the fast-food Gods for McDonald’s new creation.
“When you heard about the new @McDonalds sandwiches…,” Wallace joked in his tweet.
Bubba Wallace Recently Shared His McDonald’s ‘Rap Name’
Earlier this month, Bubba Wallace also had some fun with another McDonald’s post on Twitter. He joked with his followers and fans about his made-up rap name based on a McDonald’s food menu.
The fast-food chain asked their Twitter followers to share their hip-hop alter egos. The McDonald’s account then gave some ground rules for the nicknames. They said that everyone’s rap name begins with “Lil” plus whatever you’ve eaten at McDonald’s most recently.
“Your rap name is ‘lil’ + the last thing you ordered from McDonald’s,” McDonald’s tweeted.
As a fan of rap and McDonald’s food, Wallace joined in on the silly concept. Turns out the NASCAR driver had breakfast at the fast-food restaurant. According to his hilarious new rap name, Wallace obviously ordered a McMuffin.
“Lil McMuffin coming with that (two fire emojis),” Wallace responded to the McDonald’s post.
