Bucs’ Coach Reveals Hysterical Nickname the Team Gave Rob Gronkowski

Did you ever have a coach that gave you a nickname? Maybe you had some impressive speed, so they called you Wheels, or perhaps you caught every pass, and they called you Sticky Fingers. Well, Rob Gronkowski has a hilarious nickname that has nothing to do with his athletic ability.

If you have ever seen Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski, he probably has a smile on his face. The 31-year-old New York native is really just out here loving life.

A goal for everyone to strive for in 2021.

I mean, come on. Rob Gronkowski even has a good time reading mean tweets about him. The five-time Pro Bowler even went above and beyond to turn most of the tweets around to sound optimistic.

“Hey Robbie G, you know, I think you’re one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met,” starts six-time Super Bowl Champion Tom Brady. “Yeah, you are just so kind to everybody and so sweet. It’s hard for me to even imagine how someone could be mean to you and say mean things.”

Rob Gronkowski’s Nickname

During an interview on Wednesday, Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich shared the nickname the team has given Gronk.

Leftwich also revealed the Bucs’ nickname for Gronk — “Gronkitis” because his positive energy is so infectious. “I don’t think he’s ever had a bad day.”

After 2020, I’m sure we could all use a healthy case of “Gronkitis” to cure our blues.

Rob Gronkowski’s good mood should continue, as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Washington Football Team yesterday, 31 to 23. The Wild Card win has secured their playoff position.

In addition, in a press conference interview from December, friend and longtime teammate Tom Brady does a hilarious impression of Gronk. From the voice to the positivity, let’s just say he nailed it.

Even a scroll through the 6′ 6″ monster’s Twitter page, you can see he is like a cuddly teddy bear. You just can’t hate the guy and his energy!
