To be on the cover of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue is to reach the peak of modeling success. And this year, Camille Kostek has reached that peak. Besides her accomplishment as a model, Kostek is the host of Wipeout, the hilarious reality competition that’s goal is to make contestants look as ungraceful as possible. This will be Kostek’s second feature on the cover of Sports Illustrated, after her first appearance in 2019. In celebration of the issue’s release on Monday, Kostek posted a shot from her 2019 photoshoot on Instagram.

In her caption, Camille Kostek revealed a shocking piece of information about the issue. According to the Wipeout host, the SI models don’t get to see the issue before it becomes available to the public. Kostek and the other featured women will get to see their photos with the rest of the world. Surely, that’s exciting as it is nerve-racking.

Camille Kostek Encourages Body Positivity

You might think that self-love comes naturally for someone like Camille Kostek. However, with all the rejection they have to face in the modeling, it’s difficult to have body positivity at all times. Originally when Kostek started her career in the industry, agents were hesitant to represent her because she didn’t meet their height and weight expectations. Even in her former years as a New England Patriots cheerleader, Kostek still had trouble booking a gig.

Still, she continued with her passion. And through her social media channels, she finally gained the attention of Sports Illustrated. And, just like the rest of the world, the publication wondered why in the world no one put her on a magazine cover before.

Now known for her adorable freckles and natural curves, Camille Kostek encourages women everywhere to love the bodies they have. In fact, she even tours universities to give lectures on self-love and chasing dreams.

“We cannot compare ourselves to other people,” Kostek said, according to Modern Wellness Guide. “How boring would this world be if we all looked the same? Everybody is so unique in their own way, and truly loving every inch of you literally changes your life.”

Unfortunately, for so many people, negativity not only comes from themselves but also users on social media. And, like so many of her fans, Kostek admitted that she, too, can dwell on mean-spirited comments on her photos. However, Kostek strives to rise above the online negativity by looking inward and advises women in similar situations to do the same.

“We can’t control what other people say and think about us, but you can control what you say and think about yourself,” Kostek shared.
