Chris Jericho Questions Wait of Ballot Returns, Twitter Explodes in Response

Chris Jericho took to Twitter early Wednesday morning to voice his frustrations on waiting for election results. The professional wrester is an American-Canadian.

Jericho wrestles for All Elite Wrestling (AEW), and wrote the following:

The 49-year-old says that he isn’t a political person, but is concerned about why the vote totals are taking so long. Continuing with his train of thought, “for the first time ever… we have to wait a day… 2 days… 5 days… 10 days… to find out who won”.

Like many Americans right now, the election seems to be taking ages to determine the outcome. There were many forewarnings about the fact that the vote count could take a long time.

Twitter Sounds Off on Chris Jericho

Twitter blew up at Jericho for being unaware of how the States tally their votes.

“It’s not for the first time ever.” An important detail to take note of. And she continues, saying that this election was largely disputed as to who would win. Typically, elections are easier to predict, but not so with this year.

Another couple of responses cited how Jericho was alive during the 2000 election:

For instance, the 2000 election took an extra month and a half concluding on December 12. To illustrate, that election needed the Supreme Court to decide the outcome. Even so, Jericho forgot that fact, but Twitter users were happy to remind him.

In another response, a user pointed out that Jericho forgot about Covid-19.

At this point, it is difficult to scroll through the responses to find anything positive said in response to Jericho.

As for Jericho not associating with politics, Twitter had something to say about that too.

At last, a screengrab of Jericho’s campaign contribution showed he in fact donated 3 thousand dollars to President Donald Trump. Still, he provided yet another flaw in Jericho’s tweet.

Per FiveThirtyEight, they predicted that States could vary greatly in counting their ballots. Accordingly, FiveThirtyEight looked at exactly when polls closed, how many absentee ballots will be sent in, and other factors. During their prediction, FiveThirtyEight nailed the predictions of which States would take so long.
