Starting the season off with three losses is never great. Now, Colts RB Nyheim Hines is getting Spooky on the field. His new cleats are here just in time for Halloween. His Indianapolis Colts have not had a great year, but maybe the new fashion will give them an extra boost.
Players have been getting custom cleats for years. The creativity is always special. When Halloween comes around, that’s when the best designs come out. Hines had a special pair of Candyman cleats made up just in time for the spooky season.
Apparently, the decision came down to Candyman or Michael Meyers from Halloween. After seeing the finished product, he made the right decision. While Meyers is great, it feels overdone. It’s unique, and the design is intense.
With the Candyman displayed on one side in a portrait and on the other with his hook hand and his jacket open. Bees fill in dead space and there is some fur much like the jacket of Candyman on the back of the shoes. The left cleat says, “Be My Victim,” while the other cleat says, “We dare you to say his name five times.”
Go ahead, do it. Unless you’re scared…
Indianapolis Colts Win First Game of Season
It appears that the cleats were good luck. The Colts went on to take down the Miami Dolphins. Miami came into the game with a 1-2 record, but couldn’t stop the Colts from scoring the most points they have all season. Their previous high was in a 27-24 loss to the LA Rams.
While Nyheim Hines didn’t have a lot of touches, just two carries for six yards, the rushing unit as a whole performed well. Led by Jonathan Taylor and his 103 yards, the halfbacks had a good, productive day. Hines also caught a couple of passes for a few yards.
Carson Wentz gave Miami defenders the chills with his passing. He connected on 24/32 passes for 228 yards and two scores. 10 receivers caught passes from Wentz on the day. Michael Pittman Jr. led the way with six catches for 59 yards. Mo Alie-Cox had three catches for 42 yards and both of the passing TDs.
The Miami offense just wasn’t able to keep up until it was too late. Through the first three quarters, the Dolphins only managed three points. They went into the 4th quarter down 3-17. While they scored two touchdowns in the last quarter, it was too little too late.
The Colts are going to try and use this as momentum going into the next week. They have to face off with the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson. When Jackson has the ball in his hands, there is no telling what might happen.
