Conor McGregor Allegedly Attacks Man in Italy

The last time we saw Conor McGregor in the ring it was for the UFC 264 Lightweight fight against Dustin Poirier.

McGregor was defeated during the fight. He fractured his tibia and fibula, which would result in a first-round stoppage loss to Poirier. That means “The Notorious” likely won’t be in the ring anytime soon as he heals and gains back his strength.

Clearly, Conor McGregor has a real itch to get back to fighting though. This is clear based on rumors that McGregor has gotten into a fight with someone outside of the ring, again.

Conor McGregor Punches Friend

According to TMZ, an acclaimed Italian DJ named Francesco Facchinetti spent some time with McGregor and his wife in Rome, Italy. The four of them were together on a Saturday night going to parties when the night took a violent turn for the worst.

He was at a party at around 2:30 a.m. Suddenly, Facchinetti said he was punched square in the face by McGregor completely unprovoked, he claims. They were also surrounded by about 10 witnesses when it all went down.

Now, there is a lawsuit in action against the UFC fighter for pain and suffering as a result of the punch.

“I took a punch for nothing. That punch could go to anyone. My friends, my wife, or other friends. That’s why I decided to sue Conor McGregor because he is a violent and dangerous person,” he told the news outlet regarding the incident with the infamous UFC fighter.

Lawsuit and Injuries

The DJ shared an Instagram Stories video that shows his injuries, which includes a broken nose. The entire incident seems strange, seeing as Facchinetti and his wife both believe this behavior really did come out of nowhere.

Facchinetti’s wife also commented on the situation on her social media. She wrote,” I turned around and saw that his friends were holding him against the wall because he wanted to continue beating Francesco. Then they took him away. I turned on the light and the guards turned them off. Francesco was bleeding. I wanted to help him and the guards chased us away. He will stay in Italy until October 26th. If you see him stay away from him. Don’t go near him and ask for autographs because he is an unstable and dangerous person.”

Conor McGregor has gotten himself into trouble with fighting outside of the ring plenty of times in the past.

McGregor and Machine Gun Kelly

Conor McGregor almost got into a very public altercation with famous singer Machine Gun Kelly at the MTV Video Music Awards red carpet.

According to ESPN, McGregor was seen lunging at MGK on the red carpet. He was being held back during the altercation by his girlfriend, Megan Fox, and security. Several videos also show McGregor tossing a cocktail in his direction.

Apparently, it all started when McGregor walked up to the singer to say hello and Machine Gun Kelly just mumbled something back. McGregor got upset and escalated the entire situation.

Neither side, however, is saying exactly what happened that night between the two strangers.
