Conor McGregor Reacts to Floyd Mayweather’s ‘Embarrassing’ Brawl With Jake Paul

by Josh Lanier

Conor McGregor slammed Floyd Mayweather for getting involved in a fight outside of the press conference for his fight with YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul. Jake Paul stole Mayweather’s hat, kicking off a melee Thursday outside of the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami.

Conor McGregor Calls Out Floyd Mayweather

Subsequently, McGregor called the entire showing “embarrassing,” and said the fight was a “sad” showing for one of the greatest boxers of all time. Furthermore, The Notorious One called out the Mayweather CEO in an Instagram post for letting the situation get out of hand.

“Hey @leonardellerbe, what the f**k is Floyd at?
The kid (Jake Paul) curled up, didn’t fight back once, and Floyd is still running around acting the tough guy.
The kid actually just pulled this shambles of a situation Floyd is in out of the drain for him.
He should thank him.
It’s embarrassing!
Pro to pro it’s embarrassing. He will not scratch ($10 million) for this fight and he knows it. It was canceled once already. The world is watching this on Twitter. He’d fight a half-decent pro and command ($20 million) upwards, yet its this s**t.
Whatever way you spin this, it’s sad.
Fight someone for real, on your record, or f**k off mate.
Slap head!”

Mayweather came out of retirement in 2017 to fight McGregor, who was at the time the biggest draw for the UFC. Mayweather won handily to keep his undefeated record. However, that’s not stopping the Irishman from continuing to take shots at champion over the years.

He’s putting on the gloves again to fight Logan Paul on June 6 in Miami.

Furthermore, McGregor also has an upcoming fight. He’s taking on Dustin Poirier at UFC 256 on July 10 in Las Vegas.

Logan Paul, Jake’s Brother, Shares Thoughts on Brawl

TMZ asked Logan Paul if the fight between his brother and Floyd Mayweather was a stunt to drive ticket sales. However, Logan Paul said it was real, but wishes it didn’t happen.

“I wish it was staged,” Logan added … “That s**t is not funny. It’s not fun for anyone.”

However, that hasn’t stopped Logan from continuing to trash talk opponent with a 50-0 record.

“That s**t just got personal by default. It was supposed to be like a cute little press conference …come together, get people excited for the fight. Not people talking about killing people! What the f**k!?”

Moreover, during the melee, which you can see here, Mayweather is heard telling Jake he’ll “kill him” for “disrespecting” him.

Always a showman, Logan Paul is subsequently using the fight to push ticket and pay-per-view sales.

“This is gonna be the craziest f**king evening to ever take place in the history of combat sports,” he told TMZ.

“My message to Floyd is this … we’re gonna get you that hat back, Floyd.”
