Dak Prescott’s brother, Tad Prescott, took to social media on Wednesday to share an angry message sent to him from a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Dak Prescott is the star quarterback and team leader of the National Football League’s Dallas Cowboys. Neither his nor his team’s season went according to plan. Prescott suffered a serious injury at the start of 2020 and was unable to return after being put on the team’s injured reserve list.
Likewise, the Cowboys failed to live up to lofty expectations, concluding the regular season with a disappointing 6-10 record. They would finish in third in the NFC East ahead of only the Philadelphia Eagles and behind the New York Giants and Washington Football Team.
Dak Prescott and Family Lose Brother to Suicide
Team failure can often lead to great frustration among a fanbase clinging to their every snap. That appears to be the case in the message shared on social media by Tad Prescott. The profanity-laced and despicable message was sent to Prescott by an Instagram user and is quite graphic in nature. The Prescott’s lost a brother in April 2020 and the sender makes reference to Jace Prescott’s death in the message. Jace died by suicide, and Dak has openly spoken on it.
“Dak doesn’t deserve a s**t brother like you,” the alleged fan writes. “He deserves better. He probably wishes you were the one that die and not Jace. Jace was a good person and a way better brother than you’ll ever be.”
Able to seemingly keep his emotions in check, Tad lashes out at the message writer and says it isn’t the first issue he’s had with Cowboy fans.
“This is what so-called Dallas Cowboys fans send me,” he tweets. “Yet, some wonder why I am not a huge fan of this fan base. I never said anything about the team, organization or owners. It’s y’all that have the biggest problem with. And he is not the only one, I have 100’s.”
