Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Meet the Newest Bombshells Joining the Squad

by Emily Morgan

During the Season 15 finale of “Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Cut,” the show announced the final women who would get to join the veterans as a Dallas cowboy cheerleader.

Even though the show faced unprecedented hiccups in filming due to COVID-19, production went on as planned. However, the show instituted a “quarantine bubble” due to the pandemic, and as a result, filming went straight to the first day of training camp.

All DCC hopefuls auditioned online due to social distancing precautions.

However, the show revealed the lucky group of new cheerleaders at the AT&T Stadium, but with a twist.

“Because we don’t get to be on the turf during game day, we are filming the entire signature pre-game so our fans will see our feature performance on our 60-yard HD board,” director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, Kelli Finglass said about the impact of NFL COVID-19 protocols.

After naming the new members and handing out the uniforms, the dancers had just one day to nail their routine— which they did.

North Carolina hopeful Marissa Garrison claimed her title even though she’s only 18-years-old.

In an interview, Garrison said, “You never know the first time you audition for something how it’s going to go,” she said. “You don’t know what’s in the judges’ heads, what they want. Especially with me being only 18. You don’t know if they’re going to want to take someone who’s only 18 to training camp.”
