Conor McGregor has had close ties to the Dallas Cowboys for years, but now he’s a Proper member. The Notorious One watched the Cowboys beat the Chargers on Sunday at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. Behind the scenes, someone presented him with his own custom-made Cowboys jersey.
The name on the back and number — Proper No. 12 — is a shoutout to the whiskey company McGregor founded in 2018. He sold the majority stake in the brand last year for $600 million.
McGregor is a big Cowboys fan. He is friends with the team’s owner, Jerry Jones, and has attended several games over the past few years. He even gave a speech to the team before the Cowboys’ blowout home win over Jacksonville Jaguars in 2018.
And the players seem to love that he’s in their corner. It’s normal to see a Cowboys player showing off McGregor’s “Billionaire Strut” after a big play.
Conor McGregor even wants to fight at the Cowboys’ $1.15 billion stadium someday. He told Dustin Poirier ahead of their most recent bout that they could have it at AT&T Stadium since he’s friends with Jones.

UFC President Dana White told the Australian Daily Telegraph that Conor McGregor is healing well and could return to the octagon later this year.
McGregor broke his tibia in the closing moments of the first round against Dustin Poirier on July 11 in Las Vegas. It was their third bout and McGregor’s second loss to Poirier.
“Conor seems to be healing up pretty well,” White said. “The question is when can he start kicking again? And more importantly, when can he start taking kicks on that leg? That’s the biggest question about Conor McGregor. If he could take kicks, then he’d be looking at a fight before the end of the year again; so it all depends on how fast that leg heals.”
White didn’t speculate who the Notorious One may fight if he can return to the ring. First, the Irishman will have to pass a physical.
Conor McGregor wants to get back in the octagon. He even tried to prove it with a quick sparring session against “Vanilla Boy Rapper” Machine Gun Kelly at the MTV VMAs last week.
But the 33-year-old said he would listen to medical advice before making any decisions.
“I feel like I could kick right now. I honestly feel like I could kick right now. But I’ve just got to listen to the doctors and listen to the people that guided me, that’s what I’ve done so far,” he said, according to the Independent. “I’ve committed myself to the work. I’m back on the feet. It feels so good to be back on the feet.”
