Dallas Cowboys’ Ezekiel Elliott Sued for $1 Million for Another Dog Biting Accident: Reports

by Chris Haney

Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott is being taken to court once again because of a May incident involving his beloved Rottweiler, Ace.

Elliott has now been sued for the third time in 14 months because of various dog bite attacks. Along with Ace, the NFL player owns two bulldogs as well. As Elliott gears up for the beginning of the 2021 NFL season, he’s now facing another lawsuit seeking more than $1 million in damages.

The former Ohio State running back received notice of a lawsuit from one of his neighbors because of a May 20 incident. TMZ Sports reports that his neighbor Jennifer Gampper is claiming that his dog Ace attacked her near their Frisco, Texas homes.

Gampper’s lawsuit alleges that a landscaping company, Perfect Synthetic Grass, was working at his home on the day of the attack. While the company worked at his home, Ezekiel Elliott’s dogs escaped and attacked her. According to the report, Gampper says she sustained severe and permanent injuries. However, the lawsuit doesn’t share his neighbor’s specific injuries. In addition to suing Elliott, Gampper is also suing Perfect Synthetic Grass.

Ezekiel Elliott’s Attorney Shares Statement on the Lawsuit

In a statement shared with TMZ Sports, Ezekiel Elliott’s lawyer addressed the recent dog attack accusation. Attorney Frank Salzano said that he and his client are concerned about Gampper. But they’re also denying fault in the attack.

“Mr. Elliott and his representatives are aware of the lawsuit filed on July 30th, which stems from a previously reported incident from May 21st of this year.  As Mr. Elliott expressed at that time, he was – and remains concerned – for the party involved,” Salzano told TMZ Sports.

“However, as in most disputes, there are extenuating circumstances to this matter which will impact the legal proceedings which we are not at liberty to disclose.  As such, we have no further comment at this time,” he added.

At the time of the dog attack, the victims called the police to the scene to investigate the incident. The initial report stated that two people received injuries during the alleged attack, including Gampper. Police shared that three of Ezekiel Elliott’s dogs escaped on the day of the attack. The running back received three citations for the incident.

Elliott’s Dogs Involved in Further Incidents

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time others have accused Ezekiel Elliott’s dogs of violent incidents.

In June 2020, a pool cleaner sued Elliott when Ace allegedly attacked her arm and dragged her. The victim also claims his two bulldogs joined in and attacked her legs. Court records show that case has been settled.

Further, the Cowboys RB had a third lawsuit brought against him in June stemming from a March 25 incident. Supposedly Ace bit a pet resort employee and that case is still pending in the legal system.
