Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White often speaks his mind. And he’s just doing that on the upcoming celebrity exhibition fight.
The fight is between perhaps one of the greatest boxers of all time, Floyd Mayweather, and Youtube star Logan Paul. Spoiler alert: White says that it’s going to be a “one-sided ridiculous a**-whoopin’, it’s not even gonna be funny.”
“It’s gonna be bad,” White continues to tell TMZ. “I’m open for all these kids [to fight], but if Floyd really comes in and fights this kid…it’s gonna be an a**-whoopin’ like nobody has ever seen before.”
White is even warning Paul that he’s going to get hurt. After all, Mayweather is 50-0 and has wins over all-time boxing greats like Oscar De La Hoya, Manny Pacquiao, and Canelo Alvarez. Logan Paul’s resume doesn’t come anywhere close to Mayweather’s. He is 0-1 as a pro. He lost his first professional fight in a split-decision bout to fellow Youtube star KSI in 2019.
Dana White Says ‘Speed is Power’
Some are saying that Paul’s size gives him an advantage over Mayweather. Mayweather is 5’8″ and was 150 pounds for his last fight. However, Paul is 6’2′ and 200 pounds. White is saying that size isn’t going to matter when the two step into the boxing ring.
“Logan’s gonna find out what speed is. Speed is power! When you get hit with sh*t that you don’t see coming and when a guy like Floyd Mayweather starts putting it on you — it’s not even gonna be a fight,” White says. “It’s gonna be ridiculous! It’s gonna be the worst a**- whoopin’ you’ve ever seen.”
Dana White makes his point clear. It’s going to be a poorly matched fight where one of the opponents, and we know which one, is going to rank supreme over the other.
“Take the size difference and all the other things, it’s gonna look like what a grown man can do to his kid,” White ends with a bit of a hidden warning to the boxing newcomer.
The exhibition fight between 25-year-old Logan and 43-year-old Floyd is Feb. 20 on Pay-Per-View.
Dana White Tells Logan Paul’s Brother, Jake, ‘No’ to Fighting Conor McGregor
Dana White has been very outspoken about Logan Paul’s brother, Jake, who’s expressed his desire to fight UFC fighter Conor McGregor. White says it’s a hard “no” to that fight happening any time soon.
UFC President White said, “Conor McGregor is one of the greatest fighters on Earth right now. He shouldn’t be fighting kids that have f**king YouTube videos.”
He follows that up with there’s “zero chance” of it ever happening. However, Jake Paul has been “pulling out all the stops” for Dana White and Conor McGregor. He’s called them out social media, sent McGregor a $50 million check, Paul has thrown things at McGregor’s coach, and the list goes on. However, none of these antics seem to be working for the Youtuber.
While Logan and Jake are both vying for their spots in the fighting world, seems they also have a bit of a sibling rivalry going on as well.
