Standout National Football League wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is one of the game’s premier playmakers.

Recently, Hopkins took a trip visit a few playmakers of a different sort in the United States military service. The Arizona Cardinals wide receiver visited Luke Air Force Base in Glendale, Arizona. While there, Hopkins spent time talking to service men and women while also learning about the duties of the military.

He took to social media on Tuesday to share the experience with Cardinal fans and NFL followers. The trip made an obvious impact on the Pro Bowl wide receiver. DeAndre Hopkins says he has “mad respect” for the men and women protecting our country.

“Mad respect for these men and women,” he says in the tweet. “Thanks for having me at Luke Air Force Base.”

Along with the caption, Hopkins includes a photo of himself posing with three members of the air force base. There also appears to be a military vehicle of sorts behind them. Like you would expect, all four are wearing their COVID-19 protective face masks.

DeAndre Hopkins has Big First Season With Cardinals

Hopkins had a very successful first season with the Arizona Cardinals as the team went 8-8 on the season and pushed for a playoff spot. The Cardinals acquired the All Pro wideout from the Houston Texans last offseason, sending draft picks and a player to the team for Hopkins.

The receiver made the Cardinals a contender the second he stepped on the field, lifting their passing game to new heights. He teamed with emerging star quarterback Kyler Murray to form one of the most lethal combinations in the NFL.

Though the game wont be played this year due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Hopkins was named to this year’s Pro Bowl. For the season, he had 115 catches for 1,407 yards and six touchdowns.
