At 5:37 am on Tuesday morning, an individual in a white Suburban broke into Deion Sanders’ Ford F-350. According to Sanders, the thief busted in the window of his truck and stole one of his prized possessions.

The treasure in question? A boombox that was given to him for his birthday by one of his dear friends. In an Instagram video earlier today, Neon Deion pleaded for the town of Jackson Mississippi to help him recover it.

“This is behavior we don’t condone!” Deion Sanders said in his post. “There will be a reward for whoever can find my speaker. Several cars were broken into last night at this Hotel @ 5:37am. A white SUBURBAN and driver is on video. I’m counting on my folks on this 1. Love y’all 2 life.”

Deion Sanders took the video from the stadium of Jackson State, where he has recently taken a coaching job. “We had a great practice today, but I’ve got something on my mind,” Deion told his fans. “Someone very special to me gave that [boombox] to me as a birthday gift. I want that back. I love you, Jackson, I appreciate you. There will be a reward. Please, find my boombox.”

Deion Sanders Takes Job at Jackson State

Back in September, Deion Sanders announced that he would take on the head coaching job at Jackson State University. The former NFL superstar has continued his success in sports broadcasting after his Hall of Fame career. Now he will bring his talents back to the sidelines.

“I am truly blessed to be the 21st Head football coach of Jackson State University,” Deion Sanders said in a release from the school. “This amazing HBCU has always enjoyed a high level of commitment academically and athletically. It’s my desire to continue this storied tradition and history of JSU and prayerfully bring more national recognition to the athletes, the university, the Sonic Boom of the South, and HBCUs in general. I am TRULY proud to be a part of the JSU Tiger family. ‘I BELIEVE.'”
