Delonte West is finally back to shooting hoops. The former NBA player was seen getting some shots up recently at a gym in Florida.
The most recent video shared by a fan was at a gym in Florida – which is where West is staying for his rehab. The video shows the 37-year-old crossing over between his legs and practicing some jump shots.
The fan even shared a selfie with West, along with the message “Really nice to see this legend living a better life again and throwing the ball again,” the fan wrote, adding that West definitely deserves it.
Cuban Provides Updates on Delonte West
After being spotted on the streets earlier this year, the former NBA player is seemingly getting his life back on track. In September, some fans saw West asking for money in Dallas, which drew concern among the NBA community.
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban ultimately, reached out to help west. He came to West’s aid this past year after seeing him homeless and struggling to live. Cuban found West at a gas station in Dallas and picked him up. He announced to the world then, that – with West’s full permission – West was entering a rehab facility.
Since then, the 62-year-old businessman has been providing timely updates about West’s situation.
Cuban’s latest update about West’s journey to recovery came a couple of days ago. During the hectic election day, Cuban shared some news separate from the daily headlines. He sent a tweet showing photos of West playing Frisbee with friends and kayaking.
“Because we all want something to feel great about today, here is your Delonte West update,” Cuban wrote. “It’s still an uphill battle, but he is climbing!”
West also looks physically fit and healthy again, just as he did in another one of Cuban’s updates on West’s rehab.
“Ladies & Gentlemen, I present to you, Delonte West,” Cuban wrote on October 9. “A long, long, long way to go, but he has taken the first steps and shared these with all of us as a thank you for the love and support.”
