Denver Broncos Star Von Miller Currently Under Criminal Investigation by Colorado Police

According to the Denver Post, Denver Broncos star linebacker Von Miller is under investigation. While the crime in question has not been clarified, statements from both the Denver Broncos confirm that the investigation is underway.

“The case is currently under investigation, and no information can be released at this time,” said Josh Hans, a Parker police spokesman, in an email. If this investigation continues, they will present a case to the Douglas County District Attorney’s Office for review. So far, the Denver Broncos star remains in the clear.

As of now, a spokeswoman for the District Attorney claims that they “have no case” as of yet. However, the Denver Broncos also released a statement regarding the investigation. “We are aware of an investigation involving Von Miller and are in the process of gathering more information,” they said in a recent statement. While this remains in the preliminary stages of the investigation, we will keep our eyes on it as the situation develops.

Von Miller with the Denver Broncos

Since Von Miller joined the Denver Broncos in 2011, he has been a leader on the team. He has garnered many franchise records for the team.

These include most career sacks (106), most single-season sacks (18.5 in 2012), most playoff sacks (6.5), and most single-season playoff sacks (5 in 2015). He also holds the Broncos records for sacks in a single playoff game with 2.5 on two different occasions.

This season, Von Miller missed all of the Denver Broncos season due to an ankle injury. He causes some problems in terms of cap space for the franchise as a veteran star.

With that said, the Broncos have to decide what to do next with the eight-time Pro Bowler. With the current investigation, the Denver Broncos could have their decision made for them. Hopefully, more details will develop in the next few weeks involving the investigation.
