Floyd Mayweather will fight Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in a month, and according to his trainer, Paul isn’t even sure what to expect.

According to Angel Lozano, Paul’s sparring partner, Mayweather is keeping the details of the fight under wraps. He will keep Logan guessing up until the match, well, because he can.

“Floyd Mayweather is keeping people guessing about rule changes until the last minute, we don’t know what to expect,” said Lozano. “The team discussed the size of gloves before, they really don’t know what to expect from this guy Floyd. Floyd Mayweather is that type of guy to keep people guessing to the last minute then he’s going to start making moves.”

Is this cheating? Not exactly. Floyd Mayweather certainly has a right to withhold from deciding the rules until later on. However, it does give Mayweather a bit of an edge over Paul in preparation, but not to a great extent.

In the same vein, there are several advantages that Logan Paul naturally has over Mayweather. For instance, Paul probably has thirty pounds and half a foot on Mayweather size-wise. However, Lozano also expects Mayweather to counter that disadvantage.

“I think Logan will weigh around 190-195 pounds in the ring and Floyd will come in around 160, but who knows there could be a weight limit because no way Floyd will want him to come in that heavy. Floyd won’t want him to use [his weight] as an advantage and put on a lot of muscle and lean as much weight as he can on him; they are just waiting to see what happens,” Lozano said.

Logan Paul Vs. Floyd Mayweather Postpned?

Given the high caliber fighter in Floyd Mayweather and the media attention constantly surrounding Logan Paul, complications were sure to arise. Considering the fact that the fighters have not agreed on a set of rules, clearly, some stuff has to get sorted out. However, Logan Paul insists that the fight will still go down and Fanmio still has the fight listed for February 20.

With that said, Floyd Mayweather has removed the Fanmio link from his socials and many rumors are circulating about the cancellation or postponement of the fight.

First, one of Logan Paul’s coaches leaked the information to MMA Fight Island’s Donagh Corby. Later, Boxing 247 cited a “distinct lack of interest” as the reason for the rescheduling. When talking to Mike Mijlak, Logan Paul made sure to clear up any questions about the scheduling of the fight.

“The complications are that when you are dealing with someone like Floyd Mayweather,” Paul said. “He is, you know, the most desired highest-paid fighter on the planet and he operates at a certain caliber. The people around him want to make sure their talent, their fighter is performing at a certain level. There are a lot of hoops to jump through there are a lot of people involved. You only got one shot at it so you have to get it absolutely %1000 right. We are just making sure we do that.”

Paul also added, “Yeah, it’s still gonna happen. I’m still gonna beat the shit out of Floyd Mayweather, or he will beat the shit out of me, who knows. The point is it’s still gonna happen.”
