Floyd Mayweather and his girlfriend, Anna Monroe, were assumed to be engaged by fans who noticed a giant diamond ring on Monroe’s finger.

Monroe is the lead stripper at the famous boxer’s own entertainment club. His club is called Girl Collection. He claims it is a “gentlemen’s club” since the dancers only remove their tops while performing.

He got the idea for the club while he was in prison. He was in prison for two months due to domestic violence charges.

In 2017, when the club first opened, he stated that he would never date someone who worked at his strip club.

“You know, I already got a lot of women already. I got a lot of women because having one is too close to having none. So you can’t be hanging out with the girls in the club because it will cause problems,” Mayweather said to USA Today.

Now, however, photos of Monroe with a supposed engagement ring on her hand seem to suggest that may not be the case any longer. The ring is visible in a recent Instagram.

New York Post reported a source told them the boxer proposed after their relationship was revealed last week. The two were keeping their relationship private prior to it being released to the public.

“Anna has told family and friends she’s getting married and wants to have a baby with Floyd this year. She hasn’t announced it on social media but everyone could see the huge rock on her hand on her latest Instagram snaps,” an anonymous source told the Post.

The two have been together for months. They supposedly were official on New Year’s Day.

The exciting engagement and future wedding plans are off the table for now, though. Floyd Mayweather took to Instagram soon after news flooded social channels, denying the relationship update. He called the news “rumors and lies.”

Floyd Mayweather Past History

During his time in the spotlight, Mayweather has had three instances of domestic violence surface. From 2001 to 2002, he pleaded guilty to two counts of battery domestic violence. He received 48 hours of community service along with two days of house arrest.

Melissa Brim, the mother of his oldest daughter, was reportedly the victim. She claimed that he swung a car door open, hitting her in the jaw. He then allegedly pushed her into the car and punched her in the face several times.

Then, in 2003, he was arrested and charged with two counts of battery for fighting two women at a Las Vegas nightclub. He served 100 hours of community service. These charges were dismissed per negotiation in 2008.

His most recent incident was in 2011. He pleaded guilty to battery domestic violence and two counts of harassment. Mayweather reportedly hit his ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, in front of their three children.

He received a 90 day sentence in jail, but served 60 days. Harris died from an accidental overdose in March of 2020.
