Following the Atlanta Braves winning the 2021 World Series against the Houston Astros, a Twitter user revealed that he actually predicted the epic win five years prior.
A man by the name of Cole Rogers shared a snapshot of him making the prediction while chatting with a buddy through text message. “Remember on this date, 10/25/16, I predicted the Atlanta Braves to win the 2021 World Series when we graduate from college.”
Although the guy claims that he wrote the texts about the Braves/Astro matchup years prior, other Twitter users seem to not be buying it. One user wrote, “If this tweet is from 2016, why are all the comments from today? Why aren’t there any comments from 2016-2021? And where are the freaked out comments from when the Braves and Astros even made the WS 2 weeks ago?”
The guy responded to the questions by writing, “No one batted an eye when I quoted it 3 days ago until it actually hit.”
The Atlanta Braves won their first World Series title since 1995 after beating the Houston Astros 7-0 during the final game of the series. The MLB team won 36 of their final 54 regular-season games dating back to August 3rd.
Celebrities Take to Social Media to Root the Atlanta Braves
Prior to the Braves being dubbed the winners of the 2021 World Series, celebrities took to social media to celebrate the highly anticipated win.
According to iHeartRadio, Ludacris shared on Instagram a message to hype up the Braves last week. “It’s our time again. Now, I know what some of you are thinking: ‘Isn’t Atlanta heartbreak city? Isn’t this the place that comes up short?’ Let me tell you something about my city: It’s a place you can’t keep down. And the people? Southern hospitality (is) a real thing. But southern toughness is a real thing, too. And if there’s one thing we do in the A, it’s respond. Now, the Braves got something to say. It’s been a minute since we’ve been on top. I know. But Atlanta’s back, baby… We back, baby!”
Country singer Zac Brown took to his Instagram to reveal a picture of him attending the Braves and Astros’ game 3 last week. “Calm before the storm earlier today. Game 3. Go @braves #BattleATL.”
Thomas Rhett shared his excitement for the Atlanta Braves by attending a game over the weekend. The country singer-songwriter shared on his Instagram, “Go braves!!! What a game. @laur_akins I love you. You’re such a trooper.”
As previously reported, country superstar Jason Aldean, who attended the big game, took to his Instagram to share some snaps of the big game. “My boys are World Champs! Glad to be there and be part of the celebration.”
