On Monday afternoon, former NFL running back Herschel Walker took to Twitter again to voice his support for President Donald Trump on the eve of the 2020 presidential election.
The former Dallas Cowboys player shared a video of himself seemingly after a workout with a sweat towel draped over his shoulder. Walker was very critical of presidential candidate Joe Biden possibly putting the country in another lockdown. In fact, the running back firmly disagrees with the notion.
In his post, shared just one day before the Nov. 3 election, Walker wrote that Americans should have “Faith over Fear.” Additionally, he tagged numerous Twitter accounts including President Trump and his son Donald Trump Jr. He also tagged the television networks FOX News, CNN, and ESPN.
“Faith over Fear … we don’t run away and hide, we face our problems head on together! @FoxNews @realDonaldTrump @LouDobbs @Outkick @CNN @espn @DonaldJTrumpJr”
Herschel Walker’s Message On Lockdowns
Walker opens up his self-recorded video by saying he started thinking about Biden talking about lockdowns. He said the thought upset him and that Americans shouldn’t fear COVID-19.
“Hey, I was just putting things together and I started to think about Joe Biden talking about lockdowns,” Walker said. “It sorta got me upset because I said wait a minute. If we’re locked down, we leave our first responders, we leave our military out there to fend for us while we’re hiding away somewhere scared of the big bad boogie man, this virus they keep talking about. And I said no, no, no we can’t do that. We can’t leave our people out there alone.”
The Heisman Trophy winner doubled down on his thoughts. He said Americans should be out fighting against COVID-19 and Biden’s possible lockdowns. Walker says that no one is fully educated on the virus. However, he mentions that a vaccine is on the way, and that people should get ready for it.
“Being Americans, we need to fight this big bad boogie man that Joe Biden keeps talking about: this virus. So let’s not leave them out there. Let’s get out there and fight, and we don’t want no lockdown,” Walker explains. “We want to be out there and fight with our first responders and our military cause no one knows this virus. Look at the other countries. But let me tell you what. There’s medicine and there’s a vaccine coming. So get ready.”
