Following recent updates on WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan’s health issues, fellow wrestling icon Ric Flair has shared further news about his friend.
“The Nature Boy” Ric Flair spoke about Hogan on the debut episode of his new Woooo Nation podcast. Flair opened up about his close relationship to the Hulkster before diving into his friend’s health problems. He also referenced his own health scare when he was put into a medically-induced coma in 2017.
“He’s having some really bad health issues but he keeps up with me. We support each other, good and bad,” Flair said on the podcast. “When I was in the hospital he flew up that day like everybody else that came up to see me…Hulk was gracious, Jimmy Hart was great. I don’t remember seeing them because I was in a coma but they made the effort to go. Those are the kind of things that mean a lot.”
While Flair didn’t expand on Hogan’s exact health concerns, this isn’t the first time they’ve been brought up recently. Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, spoke about her father and his health just last month.
Hulk Hogan’s Daughter Shares Update About His Health After Numerous Surgeries in the Last Decade
While making an appearance on Hollywood Raw a few weeks ago, Brooke Hogan noted just how severe her father’s health issues have been. After wrestling for decades, Hulk Hogan has a laundry list of injuries that have resulted in health complications later in life. In fact, just in the last 10 years, doctors have performed 25 surgeries on her dad.
“We counted how many surgeries he’s had in the last 10 years and I think we’re at 25,” Brooke explained. “He’s had both shoulders scoped and he had his whole bicep and his bursa sac and everything tied up in his shoulder last year. That was a disaster. He got MRSA and it was like a big thing.”
Brooke continued to share the expansive list of Hulk Hogan’s surgeries before revealing some encouraging news about her dad. It seems like every part of Hogan’s body has been operated on at this point. But Brooke did say the 68-year-old‘s most recent operation seems to have worked out well and that “he’s feeling great.”
“So we had to go back and undo tons of physical therapy. He’s had both of his knees replaced multiple times, I think twice on both. He had his hips done. He’s had his elbow scope. So yeah, he’s had so many surgeries, so he’s done a ton, but this last one that he just had finally was like the winning ticket. So right now, he’s feeling great. He’s working out two hours in the gym every day. He’s still chugging along,” Brooke added.
