JJ Watt is typically a kind-hearted person. But this time he’s putting on the gloves and battling it out with a sports reporter.
This face-off involving JJ Watt isn’t taking place on the gridiron. Instead, it involves keyboards and tweets. It all starts with Watt tweeting about The Masters.
Watt writes, “A tradition unlike any other… Flipping through all the channels trying to find The Masters only to be reminded that it’s not on TV until the round is halfway over.”
Little does the Texan seemingly know, the prestigious golf tournament can be watched live on various streaming platforms. As a matter of fact, it can be found on TV, if you know where to look for it.
Golf aficionado Alan Shipnuck takes note of the tweet and simply question’s Watt’s grasp of today’s technology.
The tweet reads, “Has this guy heard of the Internet?”
JJ Watt Throws His Weight Around on Twitter
Apparently Watt didn’t like Shipnuck’s response and fires back with some good old fashioned name-calling.
Watt writes, “Cheers Alan, thanks for the brilliant take. You see I’m in a locker room waiting to board a bus and wanted to play it on the television for everyone to watch. PS – you look like a combination of Bob Saget & John Stamos. Not sure if that’s good or bad, just stating the facts.”
Shipnuck takes the comment about his looks light-heartedly and replies with a side-by-side photo, potentially referencing his facial features look like that of Al Pacino, not the “Full House” stars.
One Twitter user chimes in with his own opinion on Shipnuck’s look. As a matter of fact he says, “You look more like the shoe bomber than Pacino.”

Apparently getting compared to actors is something that happens often for Shipnuck. Moreover, the golf fanatic just laughs it off and responds with this tweet.
