Kent State Offensive Lineman Pukes on Field, Gets Penalized for False Start

During the 2021 Potato Bowl on Tuesday (December 21st), Kent State offensive lineman Bill Kuduk reportedly puked on the field and was penalized for a false start.

The New York Post reported that the Kent State offensive lineman was hit with the false start penalty after his vomiting made University of Wyoming defensemen flinch during the second quarter. Barstool’s Big Cat caught the entire situation and posted it on Twitter.

Following the game, which saw Wyoming win 52-38, the Kent State player responded to Big Cat’s post by tweeting, “Puke and rally! Appreciate the shout out @MACtion. Hook a Chicago kid up with a barstool Chicago internship!! ” 

Kent State running back Marquez Cooper had 125 yards rushing, leading a rushing attack that had 319 yards. Meanwhile, Dante Cephas (116 yards) and Nykeim Johnson (101) led the receiving corps. It saw eight different players catch at least one pass. Dean Clark led the defense with 13 stops. Also, Taylor-Davis and Adin Huntington recorded sacks for the Golden Flashes.

The MAC football team added it ends the 2021 season at a 7-7 record while Wyoming checks out at 7-6 on the year. The 7-7 mark gives the Golden Flashes its first three-year run with at least a .500 record since 1972-74.

Sean Lewis, head coach of the Golden Flashes, previously spoke to the Record-Courier about the team’s growth since he joined the football program in 2017. “I know that I really enjoy what I’m doing, where I’m doing it at, and who I’m doing it with. Four years deep into this thing and excited to go into year five. Wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.”

The media outlet also noted that Lewis is proud of the players, coaches, support staff, and himself for the “rebirth” of the football program. 

The Kent State-Wyoming Uniform Matchup Reportedly Made the Potato Bowl Tough to Watch 

According to Sports Illustrated, the Kent State and Wyoming uniform match-up during the Potato Bowl made it absolutely tough to watch the game. The media outlet revealed that while the Golden Flashes wore all-good uniforms with navy blue accents, the Cowboys sported brown jerseys and gold pants. Both uniforms were nearly identical. 

To make matters worse, the turf during the game with blue. Viewers of the game took to Twitter to express their disdain towards the uniform choices. “Kent State and Wyoming are both wearing yellow pants,” one viewer wrote. 

Another viewer went on to add, “Who approved the uniform combinations for the Kent State vs. Wyoming Idaho Potatoe Bowl? It’s a mess! Can’t tell who’s who. So much yellow.”

Wyoming previously played in the Potato Bowl game in 2017. The Cowboys went against Central Michigan that year, where both teams sported the same colors as well.
