LeBron James is one of the best basketball players of all time, and by the video he shared on Twitter, it seems he has always been destined for greatness.

On Sunday night, LeBron James quote tweeted a video that took a stroll down memory lane. In the two-minute video, the four-time MVP player showcased his skills as the best on his team as a high school freshman.

“LeBron is a multifaceted player,” said James’s high school coach, Keith Dambrot. “The best thing about him, I think, is that he has great instincts for the game. He can really pass the ball and he does a lot of things well.”

“It feels good to be a freshman coming in and playing real good,” says the young LeBron in the interview. “Everybody, they just accepted who I am, and what I can do…I just wanted to play good, play good teams. I really didn’t care about my stats, as long as we were winning.”

The 6’5” freshman led his team, St. Vincent- St. Mary Irish, in every offensive category, including an average of over 18 points, six assists, and eight rebounds per game.

“He has unlimited potential because he has the ability to learn,” said Dambrot. “He knows what his weaknesses are, and I think anytime you know your strengths and your weaknesses, and you have that ability to learn and understand that, you have a chance to be a great, great player.”

LeBron finishes the video with his dreams for the future.

“I want to be a role model. When I get older, I want little kids to look up to me, too, like they do to the pros. I like to be just who I am, and just be friends with everybody and help people who need help.”

LeBron James’s Professional Career

And James has become just that. The Cleveland Cavaliers drafted him first overall in 2003. Since being drafted, he has totaled 11 years with the Cavaliers, with a four-year gap while he played for the Heat, and is currently a Laker since 2018.

The now 6’9”, 16 times NBA All-Star commented on the video, crediting the process for getting him to where he is today.
