Based on her most recent social media posts, it seems like Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn is happier than she has been in a long time.
Vonn, of course, is a former World Cup alpine ski racer for the United States Ski Team. Besides that, Vonn has been the golden standard for skiing for some time. The female icon has won four World Cup championships and her 82 World Cup victories are the most of any female skier. Vonn is also the winner of seven World Championship medals, including twin golds in 2009.
Further, the 36-year-old is one of six women that have ever won a World Cup race in all five categories of alpine skiing. Those categories include downhill, super-G, giant slalom, slalom, and super combined. However, the star retired from the sport back in 2019, citing her injuries as the main reason.
And in addition to walking away from skiing recently, Linsdey Vonn also cut off her engagement with NHL star P.K. Subban back in December. With those two major changes happening in a short amount of time, there is no question that Vonn has been going through life recently. So, seeing her smiling from the back of a boat in Miami Beach, Florida, in her latest post was a welcome sight to fans.
“Smiling because I’m finally my authentic self 100% of the time,” Vonn admitted in her latest social media post. “And happy to be surrounded by people who love me for who I am. Getting to this point has taken a long time but I’m here and I’m not going anywhere! #beyou #goofball”

After spending three years together in a relationship, Lindsey Vonn and P.K. Subban officially called things off. Vonn ended it with the New Jersey Devils defenseman back in December. She announced that the two were going their separate ways in an Instagram post.
“Over the past 3 years PK and I have had some incredible times together. He is a kind, good man, and someone I respect a great deal,” Vonn wrote in an Instagram post alongside a photo of the former couple. “However, after much consideration we have decided to move forward separately,” she continued. “We will always remain friends and love each other immensely. We ask that you please respect our privacy during this time.”
