NFL Hall of Famer and Good Morning America host Michael Strahan and rapper Wiz Khalifa are both being sued by one of the business partners of their cannabis company, Khalifa Kush.

The Blast obtained court documents filed by Carlos Arias, the director and managing agent for Cuzzi Consulting, Inc. The co-owner of Khalifa Kush claims he did not receive interest from the company’s proceeds. In fact, his claim included a cannabis licensing deal valued at no less than $20,000,000.

Arias claims that Strahan and Khalifa took more than $100,000 in assets from him by not including him in certain business deals. However, it is not clear how much money the co-owner is suing for in his lawsuit.

Strahan and Khalifa Accused of ‘Civil Conspiracy”

The co-owner’s lawsuit lists numerous breaches of the business partner’s contractual agreements.

They include a “breach of fiduciary duty, aiding and abetting fiduciary breaches, conversion, and corporate waste.” In addition, the claim alleges “tortious breach of an express or implied agreement, unjust enrichment, money had and received.”

Furthermore, Arias claims “professional negligence, civil conspiracy, and declaratory judgment arising out of Defendants’ wrongful conduct concerning the usurpation and misappropriation of assets from Nominal Defendants KKE USA and the Khalifa Kush Joint Venture”.

Additionally, Arias also claims that he had an agreement with Strahan and Khalifa to include him in the brand. But, he says the business partners unjustly breached their agreement and cut him out of the profits. Therefore, Arias is claiming that Strahan and Khalifa’s partnership is a “civil conspiracy” against him.

Rapper Wiz Khalifa is a cannabis culture advocate, and has been for years. Similar to legendary rapper Snoop Dogg and country icon Willie Nelson, Khalifa’s love for marijuana is well-known. Khalifa became one of the first entertainers to invest in the cannabis industry as many states legalized the plant.
