Soon-to-retire NASCAR legend Clint Bowyer is taking to Twitter to let fans know he has voted – and that they should do the same.

While Bowyer has become a staple of NASCAR during his 15 season racing career, this season is his last. Fans won’t have to look far for him, however. According to ESPN, Bowyer will be joining the Fox Sports booth as an analyst for his beloved sport.

In a long letter to his Twitter followers, the 41-year-old racing star let the world know the big news.

“Now I get to the point of what I want to tell you,” he pens. “I have a new opportunity to do what’s next in my life. In 2021 my suit will no longer be fireproof. I will be joining the Fox booth on Sundays.”

“The opportunity to have won races with all three manufacturers is something I’m proud of… Chevrolet, Toyota and Ford all have great people and build great products and all share the same passion to be first on Sunday. It was truly an honor to represent all three.”

All in all, Clint Bowyer has 10 career cup wins. His best finish was in 2012 when placing second overall. Since then, he’s made the playoffs in each of the past three seasons. At the same time, he’s had an increasing role in television coverage of his sport. For Fox Sports, Bowyer became an in-studio analyst. He also was participating in their iRacing events.

Clint Bowyer Votes & You Should, too

Now, Bowyer is making the most of his last weeks as a NASCAR driver. Taking to his Twitter account, he’s sharing a closeup of himself with his “I Voted” sticker. His, however, has an extra message.

“I Voted,” the sticker says up to. Following, it asks “Did You?”

With this – and his steely stare – Bowyer is certainly urging his fans and followers to do the same.

Voting is fundamental to our republic and for which it stands. Democracy is nothing without its citizens. Election Day 2020 is November 3rd. If you haven’t voted yet, be sure to get out to the polls and make your voice heard.
