Wallace tweeted a photo of himself wearing a green blazer that the Masters champions win. Watson won one in 2012 and 2014.
What’s more, Watson is paying some love to Wallace’s boss. He tweeted out a photo of the shoes he’s wearing for Thursday’s opening round of the Masters.
As a matter of fact, the 42-year-old is wearing white Jumpman’s with green emblems and soles.
“If I wasn’t ready for @TheMasters , I am now!” he tweeted.
Golfers Lament Not Having Tiger Woods at Masters
Rory McIlroy went to visit Tiger Woods last week and says he seemed in “decent spirits,” according to Golf.com. Although Woods isn’t happy about missing a major, McIlroy said he’s looking well, all things considered.
“I spent a couple of hours with him, which was nice. It was good to see him,” McIlroy said.
“When you hear of these things and you look at the car and you see the crash, it’s like, you think he’s going to be in a hospital bed for six months,” McIlroy said. “But he was actually doing better than that.”
McIlroy said it was a relief to see him and check on him. However, he admits, not having the former Masters champion playing is a painful reminder.
“Yeah, I mean, anytime Tiger Woods tees it up in a golf tournament, it’s better,” he said. “It’s better for the tournament, it’s better for the players that are involved. It’s better for everyone.”
Furthermore, Justin Thomas, a close friend to Woods, said he’s also not happy about being stuck at home.
“We texted Friday morning, and he said it’s kind of starting to set in,” Thomas said during a press conference on Tuesday, according to TMZ. “He’s bummed he’s not here playing practice rounds with us, and we hate it too.”
All in all, it’s definitely going to be different this year with Tiger Woods sitting out.
