NASCAR Drivers Raising Awareness for Jimmie Johnson Foundation with Custom Visor Strips

NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson and his Hendrick Motorsports teammates will sport special strips on their helmets this weekend during the Cup Series Race at Kansas Speedway.

Johnson and 27 other drivers will be donning the blue strips across their visors to highlight the Jimmie Johnson Foundation.

“The Team JJF visor campaign and the support it gets from the drivers means a lot to Chani (wife) and me,” said Johnson. “I’m excited to be able to promote the Jimmie Johnson Foundation this weekend, and I’m grateful to Ally for allowing us to run the visor strip. It’s been a challenging year for everyone, but thanks to the generosity of our partners and the NASCAR community, we are able to provide essential financial support to K-12 public schools through fundraisers like this one.”

Johnson, along with the following drivers, will be sporting the Team JJF strip:

At the conclusion of the race at Kansas Speedway, Johnson and the other drivers will sign their Team JJF branded visors. They will be available for purchase in an online auction the week before the race at Phoenix International Raceway. That will be Johnson’s final race as a full-time Cup driver. The proceeds from the auction will go directly to Johnson’s foundation.

In addition to Johnson, drivers Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, Matt DiBenedetto, Austin Dillon, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano and Ryan Newman will donate visors for the auction.

Johnson and his wife launched the foundation in 2006. To date, more than $12 million has been contributed to various organizations. Above all, the foundation focuses on funding for K-12 public education, primarily through its Champions Grant program, the Blue Bunny Helmet of Hope program and the Team Up for Technology program.
