NASCAR’s Kyle Busch Headed to Sensitivity Training After Controversial Post-Race Interview

On Monday night, NASCAR revealed that they’re requiring driver Kyle Busch to undergo sensitivity training after his vulgar post-race comments over the weekend.

Following Sunday’s race at Martinsville Speedway, driver Kyle Busch went on a rant against fellow racer Brad Keselowski. He disagreed with some of Keselowski’s late race maneuvers on the track, and let him have a piece of his mind afterward. During a heated interview, Busch said he should beat up the No. 2 car’s driver along with using the R-word.

“Well he drills my a– coming out of [Turn 4] for no reason. I mean where was he going, what was he going to do, spin me out?” Kyle Busch said in the post-race interview. “For what, for second place? To do what? He wasn’t going to transfer through with that. It’s just freakin’ re—ed, man. So stupid. I don’t understand these guys. I should beat the s–t out of him right now is what I should do. But that doesn’t do me any good either.”

NASCAR officials announced the punishment yesterday after taking a day to mull over their decision. Busch is not suspended for his remarks and won’t miss any time as he competes in the playoffs. However, the driver will be forced to complete sensitivity training “before the start of the 2022 season.”

On Sunday night, Kyle Busch also took to Twitter to apologize for his post-interview remarks.

“In one of my post-race interviews I used a word I should never use and I want to apologize for it,” Busch tweeted.

Busch is known for his fiery temper on occasion, and isn’t one to shy away from conflict on or off the track. In fact, just last week he hurled further insults at fellow NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace.

Once again, Kyle Busch’s temper tantrums were caught on camera when he yelled at the top of his lungs at driver Bubba Wallace. The pair were jockeying for position at the Hollywood Casino 400 on Oct. 24 at Kansas Speedway. That’s when cameras picked up audio and video of the racer screaming at Wallace to get out of his way.

During Lap 108 in Kansas, Busch trailed just behind Wallace as the racers both fought for 10th position. That’s when Busch flipped his lid and screamed at the No. 23 car and its driver.

“Go the f— on! Ahhhhh!!!” Busch screams to his crew chief over the radio. When he finally got past Wallace, he also yelled out, “Oh my f—ing god, dude. This kid…”

As the race continued, things didn’t get much better for the M&M’s No. 18 car. He sustained two flat tires and hit the wall on the way to a 28th place finish. After the Kansas race, Kyle Busch spoke with Austin Dillon about his team’s performance.

“It wasn’t the 3’s fault. Just take our lumps. We’re running like sh–. It’s what you get when you run like sh–. Shouldn’t be there. I don’t know what our problem is,” Busch said.
