New York Giants fans are watching their team ride the struggle bus this season. Their hopes in quarterback Daniel Jones are getting stepped on yet again.

ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter reports that the Giants have listed Jones as doubtful for their game this weekend against the Seattle Seahawks due to a hamstring injury.

This news puts veteran quarterback Colt McCoy, who was a standout quarterback at the University of Texas, in the starting role. McCoy entered last Sunday’s game after Jones, the Giants’ first-round pick in 2019, went out with his hamstring injury against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Obviously, this news didn’t sit too well with fans of Big Blue, a nickname for the Giants’ team. They let their opinions be known on Friday.

Jones Carries Hopes Of Giants’ Fans With Him

Jones was picked as the sixth overall draft choice by the Giants in the 2019 NFL Draft. He took over at quarterback for veteran Eli Manning.

In his rookie year, Jones set franchise rookie records with 459 passes, 284 completions, 3,027 yards, and 24 touchdown passes.

Additionally, that final number led all NFL rookie quarterbacks in 2019 and are the fourth-most by a rookie in a season in NFL history. He also threw 12 interceptions in his 13 game appearances.

Jones slid to the turf against the Bengals while being tackled in the open field. Although he handed off the next snap to his running back, he grabbed at his right leg and limped back to the line of scrimmage. He completed the third-down conversion and then took a knee on the field.

Trainers rushed out to attend to their quarterback. He left the game afterward.

Earlier this year, the Giants lost Saquon Barkley to a devastating season-ending injury and Jones has carried the team.
