Olivia Culpo Talks Coping With Endometriosis
In a November 2020 interview with Shape, Olivia shares details about how she copes with Endometriosis during COVID-19 quarantine. “I felt helpless [when I was diagnosed], which is why I started More Than a Mask,” Olivia reveals. Her fashion-forward charity collection notably benefits Feeding America. “That was what I did to find a purpose and to cope.”
Olivia explains she was diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2019 and she knew there was something wrong prior to the diagnosis.
“I had gone to a number of doctors in agony – crying, shaking,” she recalls. “When you’re living with chronic pain, you don’t know if you want to throw up and curl into a ball and cry.”
Olivia Culpo states that she started a six-month journey to figure out what was wrong with her. She finally went to a doctor that was able to diagnose her. “Good thing, because my condition was advanced, and she needed to check my eggs immediately to make sure my fertility was intact.”
Olivia is currently trying to find new ways to heal holistically through what she’s eating. She’s also exploring acupuncture, messages, Chinese herbal medicine, and cutting caffeine. “I’m going to actively try to help people who live with this and not just talk bout my experience.”
Olivia then admits that while being diagnosed was a really frustrating experience, she is passionate about talking about it.
Olivia Culpo Discusses Her Eating Habits & Makeup
Also during the interview with Shape, Olivia goes on to discuss her eating habits and how she loves to back and cook. “So typically when I indulge, it’s not by going out somewhere,” she explains. Culpo mentions her mom recently mailed her the pizza pan that has been in her family for generations.
Olivia also explains the other part of her eating habit includes 20 percent of having a cocktail or glass of champagne. “I love champagne. I always have.”
In regards to her makeup routine, Olivia adds that makeup is like cooking, if you like it and enjoy it, you will become good at it.
“It’s something that I constantly learn about and research,” Olivia says. She is always looking for new products as well as new ways to apply new looks to try. “Many people have commented, ‘I can’t believe you did this makeup yourself,’ so I started doing makeup YouTube videos.”
