Paige Spiranac may have some unresolved beef with fellow golfer Bryson DeChambeau, but that didn’t stop her from giving him credit when it was rightfully due.

On Saturday, the golf-pro tuned IG model took to Twitter to confess that DeChambeau’s jaw-dropping drive during the Arnold Palmer Invitational was “cool.”

DeChambeau claimed the title of the winner during the annual PGA Tour event. He ended his day at -11, finishing one stroke ahead of the tournament’s runner-up, Lee Westwood. As a result, he took home a whopping $1.2 million prize as well as bragging rights.

Following the win, DeChambeau shouted out Tiger Woods, attributing the victory to him. DeChambeau’s visible emotion was understandable, considering Woods is both his colleague and friend. Following a car crash last month, Woods was immediately sent to the hospital after sustaining a fractured leg and shattered ankle.

“It’s been quite a battle. I don’t even know what to say, to win at Mr. Palmer’s event, it’s going to make me cry,” DeChambeau said at a press conference following the win.

He also mentioned that Woods sent him his support via text message before the tournament.

“It means the world to me. I got a text from Tiger [Woods] this morning and he obviously had done really well here. We talked about just keep fighting no matter what happens and play boldly like Mr Palmer said,” the 27-year-old said fondly. “My heart has been heavy with Tiger and what’s been going on with him, I just kept telling myself it’s not how many times you get kicked down it’s about how many times you get picked back up and keep going, and that’s what I did out there today.”

Paige Spiranac Gets Brutally Honest About Bryson DeChambeau

However, Spiranac wasn’t afraid to reveal her opinion on DeChambeau, even going so far as to call him “disingenuous.” She then clarified her earlier statements on the golfer, writing, “I can respect Bryson and still find him annoying.”

In response to DeChambeau mentioning Woods, Spiranac couldn’t hold her tongue. She also tweeted out, “I didn’t like the Tiger name drop either.”

After Paige Spiranac won a Cactus Tour match in Arizona, she failed to qualify for the LPGA Tour. Afterward, she ended her professional golf career and built her online presence with her social media accounts and podcast.
