Paige Spiranac Calls Out Disgraced Former Mets GM Jared Porter

Paige Spiranac, a 27-year-old social media influencer and pro golfer, slammed former Mets General Manager Jared Porter for sending unsolicited and graphic photos to a female reporter. Spiranac said men send her messages like that frequently, and she can’t understand why they think it’s a good idea.

“Jared Porter sending 62 unanswered texts and thinking an unsolicited ween pic is the move isn’t uncommon. It happens every day in my DMs with 0% success rate. It’s never the move,” Spiranac tweeted.

The Mets fired Porter on Tuesday. Furthermore, team owner Steve Cohen addressed the matter on Twitter.

“We have terminated Jared Porter this morning,” Cohen stated. “In my initial press conference I spoke about the importance of integrity and I meant it. There should be zero tolerance for this type of behavior.”

According to ESPN, Porter sent several texts in 2016 to a female reporter that included images of an “erect, naked penis.” Though at the time, he worked for the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs said they were unaware of the texts, but would have fired Porter had they learned of them at the time.

Porter and the female reporter briefly allegedly met in an elevator at Yankee Stadium where they had a friendly baseball-related conversation.

But after that meeting, Porter allegedly sent 62 texts and seven photos to the reporter. She only replied to him once.

“This is extremely inappropriate, very offensive, and getting out of line,” she wrote back. “Could you please stop sending offensive photos or msg.”

Porter allegedly apologized to her, sent a few more messages, and then stopped completely, ESPN reported.

ESPN contacted Porter who acknowledge that he texted her the photos. But he said they were of someone else. “The more explicit ones are not of me. Those are like, kinda like joke-stock images.”

Paige Spiranac: Calm It Down, Guys

Pro golfer turned social media star Paige Spiranac has nearly 3 million followers on Instagram. She is no stranger to receiving unwanted messages. Earlier this month, Sprinac explained that many of the comments she sees are in regards to her figure.

“It’s crazy I can be told I look too fat, too skinny, too plastic, too old, wearing too much makeup, not enough makeup, boobs too big, butt not big enough, too pale, hair too blonde, not blonde enough all in one day,” Spiranac said at the time.

“Guys it’s not a build a bear workshop over here,” she said according to the New York Post. “Calm it down.”
