Paige Spiranac Enjoys a Popsicle in Scorching Two-Piece Photo: ‘Ready for Dessert’

Former professional golfer Paige Spiranac took to her Instagram on Monday (July 19th) to share some snaps of her enjoying a popsicle while rocking a two-piece.

“Ready for dessert?” Paige writes in the post’s caption. She also says that the popsicle headcover drops tomorrow on Swaggolf.com.

Spiranac also says she is giving away five headcovers before the release. Just follow @swaggolco and share on her post who is your favorite partner. “That’s it! I’ll announce the winners prior to tomorrow’s release.”

Paige Spiranac Reveals Why She Doesn’t Talk About Women’s Golf

She’s known for speaking her mind when it comes to all things golf, but Paige Spiranac admits that she won’t be discussing women’s golf anytime soon.

When a Twitter user stated that they found it interesting that not once did Paige mention anything about the Women’s US Open last month, Paige shot back with, “A lot of the girls on tour said they don’t want me talking about them or their tournaments because I’m a bad representation of women’s golf.”

Paige also states in a 2018 interview with The Guardian that she knows that some people see her as a “gimmick” due to her rise to fame on social media.

“I don’t think I am,” Spiranac explains. “If I was a guy and I had the same social following, I don’t think people call it a gimmick. They’d say it was great.”

Spiranac then says that people seem to think she got to where she is because of the clothes that she wears. “That’s unfair to me and unfair to all of my accomplishments. I probably more community service than any other professional golfer.”

Paige addresses why she gets some much criticism for her social media. “Because I look different to a golfer, maybe? I dress different, I don’t conform to what golf is supposed to be,” She says. But she did say she loves golf and thinks it is a great game. “I think there are a lot of things that need to change. I think it needs to become more progressive and less inclusive.”

Spiranac then says that the people who say that golf is progressive some to have the same characteristics: All middle-aged men. She said the reason why they feel like the sport is progressive is because they feel accepted due to their age and gender.

“It’s such a male-dominated sport, it has been around for so long and there are traditions,” Paige adds.

Paige previously played college golf at both University of Arizona and San Diego State University before going pro in December 2015. In August of 2016, she failed in qualifying to play the professional LPGA circuit and retired in December of 2016.
