Patrick Mahomes’ Fiancée Brittany Matthews Posts Montage of Arrival to Super Bowl LV

by Quentin Blount

Earlier this week, Brittany Matthews took to social media to post a countdown until her fiancee Patrick Mahomes was playing in the Super Bowl. Well, that time has finally come.

Matthews posted a fun-loving photo and video montage on Sunday evening just minutes before the start of Super Bowl LV. Matthews shows off her and her squad dancing on the plane ride to Tampa Bay. She also shows the crew having fun while entering the hotel room and getting ready for the big game.

“WE MADE IT!!!! #LFG #superbowl,” Matthews wrote along with her photo montage. The photo has already gotten more than 36,000 likes since she made the post.

Matthews’ Instagram followers chimed in on her latest video, hyping her up even more.

@lololive24 commented saying, “Go mama ❤️”

@amandachico.equine wrote, “LETS GOOO!!! ❤️💛❤️💛”

“RED KINGDOM!” one fan says, with another writing, “YASSSSS CHIEEEEEEEFFFSSSS 😍”

As we all know by now that Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are currently in a battle with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for bragging rights in all of the National Football League.

However, Brittany Matthews is without question not the only fan ready to watch Mahomes and Brady battle it out. She joins about 20 million other viewers who are ready to watch her soon-to-be husband take the field.

Brittany Matthews and Patrick Mahomes, High School Sweethearts

Brittany Matthews and Patrick Mahomes met in high school and started dating during their sophomore year. That, however, was in Whitehouse, Texas. They are now both 25 and recently engaged. In fact, Patrick Mahomes waited until the day he won his first Super Bowl to ask Matthews to marry him.

The Chiefs star quarterback asked the question the same day that he won Super Bowl LIV with the Chiefs. It had to be without a doubt one of the best days of his life.

It clearly was for Matthews, too, who is his biggest fan. She took to Instagram at the time to express her mutual love for Mahomes.

“On a day that was meant to celebrate you, you turned it into celebrating us. It’s always us, it’s always you and me,” she wrote in her post. “The words you looked into my eyes and said to me at this moment, will NEVER leave my mind! You made this day perfect, you took my entire breath away and I could not have imagined anything better. I love you, forever and always! Cheers to spending our lifetime together and an inseparable bond.”

And there’s no reason to fret, Chiefs fans — the high-profile couple will not be going anywhere anytime soon. Patrick Mahomes recently signed a 10 year, $450 million contract with the Kansas City Chiefs. The record-breaking deal includes a $10 million signing bonus and more than $141 million guaranteed. Mahomes will be making an average annual salary of around $45 million.

Furthermore, according to the Kansas City Business Journal, Mahomes and Matthews just bought a $1.9 million mansion.
