It’s only been a little more than two weeks since Mahomes and Matthews welcomed little Sterling Mahomes into the world. In that short time, the high-profile couple has been thrown into the world of parenthood. And while they likely received some helpful tips from their own family and friends, there is nothing that can prepare someone to experience everything first-hand.
A prime example of that took place over the weekend when Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée spent her first time away from her baby girl. Brittany Matthews and Patrick Mahomes spent a night out together, but Matthews says that she was missing her baby the whole time. And as she so often does, Matthews took to social media to share the emotional moment with her nearly one million fans and followers. She also included a picture of her and Patrick on their night out.

The post has since gotten more than 157,000 likes since going live. Additionally, fans of Mahomes and Matthews took to the comments section to post their own two cents about the post.
One Instagram user left a comment writing, “The King & Queen missed the Princess.” Other fans of the couple could totally relate to what they’re going through. One user left a message saying, “Congrats on a night out!” and another had a similar response writing, “Welcome to motherhood. You will have date nights and only talk about your kids 😂.”

As if being a first-time parent wasn’t enough, Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Matthews are also in the midst of planning their wedding.
Although they have yet to announce an official date and location to the public just yet, Matthews did say they have made their decision on when and where their big day will take place.
The bride-to-be posted an adorable trio of photos of her and Mahomes with the caption, “It’s wedding planning time,” Matthews wrote on Instagram. “We have a date & place wahoooooo🥂 #2022”
