Patrick Mahomes surprised his pregnant fiancé with her very first “mom car.” Brittany Matthews tweeted about the gift Monday morning.
Though it’s not clear what the make and model of the new mom-mobile is, she seems pleased with it. TMZ Sports speculated from a video she posted that the interior resembles that of a Lamborghini SUV, which retails at about $200,000. That won’t be a problem for a guy who recently signed a deal worth half a billion dollars.
Mahomes and Matthews got engaged last year and announced she was pregnant with their daughter in September.
The couple has been together for a long time. They began dating in high school and stayed together through college at Texas Tech. Matthews, 25, works as a fitness trainer.
Mahomes dropping a new car like it’s a Christmas commercial is impressive, and it makes him look like a good fiancé. But, apparently making things seem easy is what he’s best at.
Andy Reid Says Patrick Mahomes Makes Him Look Good
In an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said Patrick Mahomes and his wife make him look good. He credits them with his positive press.
“He makes you look good, I’ll tell ya,” Reid said of Mahomes. “That’s what I’ve always said about my wife. I mean, you know, she made me look good like I was a good recruiter.”
“This guy does the same for you, being a coach,” he continued. “I mean, and you hear this, but I mean, this is what he is. He’s the first one in and the last one out, that whole deal, which means he enjoys being here. He’s a gym rat type guy. He loves every sport. He stays up on every game going on.”
Mahomes will try to make Reid look good Sunday when the Chiefs take on the Browns in Kansas City in the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.
